On a stormy Christmas Eve, Theo Bellini volunteers to help deliver last-minute packages around Lost Harbor. He never expected to pick up Natalie Desroches, his former high school girlfriend—now a TV weatherperson. It’s a short drive, surely they can make it to her grandmother’s before they start arguing. But the unpredictable Lost Harbor winter has a big surprise in store for them.
Stormy with a Chance of Christmas is a short Christmas novella based in the Lost Harbor, Alaska series which can be read as a standalone or as a quick return to Lost Harbor after book two, a second-chance romance and told in the third-person point of view.
Theo has returned home to Lost Harbor after getting a divorce to help his sisters with the family business and their mother who just recently had a stroke. Natalie is a meteorologist in Chicago who has managed to bribe the shipping company to treat her as a package so she can get home to Lost Harbor for Christmas to surprise her grandmother. When the delivery truck breaks down, Theo agrees to finish off the deliveries in his own truck. Theo does not bet on his last delivery before Christmas to be his ex-girlfriend.
Stormy with a Chance of Christmas is a good quick holiday novel about a second chance romance. It was nice to return to Lost Harbor for a quick stop in until the next novel. Jennifer Bernard really caught the essence of the holiday spirit in this novel.
